I may not envy a shrouded man's soul
as he walks in front, I watch nevermore for
those whom I will claim in the time of day.
I walk alone for eternity, yet,
I stand close to many. They fear my scythe.
Screams and cries for mercy when I come forth.
Feelings are foreign to me, unknown by
many I crave to wish, to desire.
I watch as mortals live and laugh. The sun
touches them as the moon lightens their night.
Love they feel, pain they experience. I wish
to feel what they feel whether good or bad
I lust for a companion to share and
to love. I wish for a simple mortal life.

Sonnet 18
The petals of a flower spread and fade.
Their delicate beauty turns haggard grey.
Through spring and summer they frolic, playing.
While amethyst day turns to darkest night.
One by one petals fall, soft, so slowly.
Petals land on the hard ground or fly
into the dark blue sky, wind carrying them.
Soon they, too, will meet with the cold dirt.
As time passes leaves become unbound, free
from the branches of the eternal tree.
And like thee they will crumble and leave, does
thou now see that nature is time's plaything.
The conclusion of our lives is to be
servants to nature and lone slaves to time.

Sonnet 93
My sin, for thee I wish, though thou causes
such sweet addicting pain and calm sorrow.
My still heart goes numb at the sight of thee.
I, with a touch of innocent lips, fall
into temptation from Hell and Heaven.
Satan beckons me with visions of lust,
unadulterated, I crave to touch.
Thou eyes pull me close with sinful wanting.
These cravings are overlooked by a warmth
imbedded in my heart. Warmth for thee,
to hold and protect, to kiss and to play.
My yearning is sin yet, for thee, I am
willing to touch Hell's punishing fire and
to turn my back to Heaven's pearling gate.
such sweet addicting pain and calm sorrow.
My still heart goes numb at the sight of thee.
I, with a touch of innocent lips, fall

Sonnets
My teacher Ms. Mitchelle assigned my class a project. We have to write some sonnets after we read some of Shakespeare's sonnets.
